NIO Launches Third Brand firefly & Executive Flagship ET9 at NIO Day 2024

China's NIO has officially launched its third brand at NIO Day 2024 in the city of Guangzhou. The first product of firefly made its global debut and began pre-orders, and reservations can now be made on the firefly App.

Firefly is due to launch in China in April of 2025.

The NIO Smart Electric Executive flagship ET9 was also officially launched, with delivery in China starting in March, 2025.

The NIO ET9 integrates NIO's 12 Full Stack self-developed technologies of NIO.

The NIO ET9 is the world's first model to integrate three major technologies of the SkyRide Steer-by-Wire, SkyRide Rear-Wheel Steering, and SkyRide Full Active Suspension into a Smart EV chassis system.

It also features SkyOS, a leading intelligent digital technology base, that covers multiple fields such as vehicle control and intelligent driving, cockpit, plus mobile internet and AI technology
